Sue has had a lifelong love affair with animals. She has ridden horses since she was 4 years old. During high school she volunteered at the University of Illinois Small Animal Clinic after school. Sue attended the Potomac Horse Center learning stable management, dressage, and eventing, graduating with her Horsemaster Certificate in 1975. After college she worked at a county humane society in central Illinois. In 1986 Sue graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology, passed the national exam and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. She worked in 3 clinics in Boulder County over the years. Later, she attended UNC and earned her BS in Nursing in 1996. Until recently she worked the recovery room at an ambulatory surgery center in Loveland. Sue has attended Colorado Greyhound Adoption Meet and Greets for more than 10 years and has hosted the CGA Meet and Greet at the Loveland PetSmart for the last 4 years. She also fosters greyhounds for the group. She currently shares 10 acres with 2 horses, Alice and Barry & Sinbad the barn cat and the house with her husband, Bryan, Emily the greyhound and Stripes the house cat.
